Craft Fair – Sun 18th Nov – St Bartholomew’s School, Newbury, Berkshire

This week I’m busily sewing up a box full of sock monsters and monkeys to replace the ones that were sold at last weekend’s craft fair. This little lot will be coming with me on Sunday 18th November to the next fair at St Bartholomew’s School, Newbury.

My OddSox stall will be placed next to award winning Mrs Chutney – I bought three pots of delicious items from her stall a couple of weeks ago and can thoroughly recommend her produce – top fave is the Chillililli – fresh, crunchy, fragrant and with a good spicy kick. And the best thing is, she has little taster bowls out so you can sample before buying!

I hope you can come along – we’ll look forward to seeing you 🙂 Here are the venue details…

SOCK! Artists & Makers Fair Stall Pics – Loughborough March 2012

I had another good weekend at the fourth Loughborough Town Hall SOCK! Artists & Makers Fair at the end of March. It was a lovely sunny weekend, so a bit of a shame to spend quite that much time indoors, but on the upside it brought lots of people out.

As usual there were plenty of talented artists showing and selling their work over the weekend and on the Sunday the Town Hall had a free printing workshop during the day for children to come along and try out.

I have a few OddSox stall pics, not the greatest as the light wasn’t too good in the hall, but at least it’s a record of the day.

There was also a board with cards to leave comments and feedback…

And most exciting of all for me was this huge billboard on one of the main roads leading into the town centre with an image of one of my sock creatures on it. Look at the beautiful blue sky too!

I also acquired a rather lovely textile bird brooch from a fellow stallholder called Rachel Ainley – we actually did a ‘swap’ which is always fun. Here’s a pic from Rachel’s website showing a whole collection of her delightful birds, just click the pic to visit her site, she has lots of other goodies on offer too.

Thanks for looking and have a great Easter everyone 🙂

Spring Craft Fair, Padworth Common, Berkshire – 17th March 2012

I have a stall at Mortimer West End Craft Fair again this year, 17th March – as you can see it’s a lovely setting. Two or three stall are located in each of the pretty rooms and also in the adjacent hall. There will be a lovely selection of handmade arts and crafts available and hopefully a repeat of last year’s amazing choice of delicious home made cakes and soups.

It would be a perfect opportunity to find a unique handmade gift for Mother’s Day which will be the following day – Sunday 18th March.

So if, you’re in the area or are looking for something different to do, please pop in and say hello  :)

Christmas Craft Fair Stall pics

I’ve already attended a couple of craft fairs this month, one at St Barts School, Newbury and the other at The Watermill Theatre, Bagnor.  It was lovely to catch up with some old faces and also meet some new stallholders and swap a few ideas. I’ve been busy stocking up on some favourite items such as sock monkeys, bunnies, cats, owls and monsters, Door-Mice, Amigurumi HooterNinnies (aka hedgehogs) and other cute crocheted creatures plus quite a few new items such as sock pixies, fabric baskets, coin purses, makeup bags and tree decorations. Here are a few of my OddSox stall pics:

I’ve been out this weekend for a sock buying top-up to replenish stock ready for my next fair on 3rd and 4th December at Yew Tree Garden Centre, Ball Hill, Newbury. I’ll be doing a separate post soon with the details of times and what’s going to be on offer.

If you’re in the area do pop along – you could get your Christmas tree at the same time as a few gifts 🙂
