The Dawn of Rosewill Cottage!

Dawn McLean is a jewellery artisan, has a career in PR, has 2 kids and a husband, maintains a website & on-line jewellery store and now…

…she’s about to open a brand new real boutique style shop!

Rosewill Cottage

188 Park View, Whitley Bay

Grand Opening – Saturday 23rd October – 10.30am

On opening day, Dawn and her team will have cupcakes at the ready whilst you browse the treasure.

Rosewill Cottage’s main focus will be on beads and findings which have been sourced from suppliers that Dawn has been liaising with for the past 3 years. It will also be a workshop where people can order bespoke jewellery and charms in store.

Aside from having her own range of beautifully hand-crafted jewellery and charms on display, Dawn has also chosen to stock products from 3 other  featured craftersand I’m lucky enough to be one of them!

OddSox (that’s me! and a little selection of my products above) Shaz creates the most amazing array of cute & crazy creatures. Her creations are made from socks, recycled woollen jumpers, fabrics and Japanese crochet amigurumi animals.

Charlotte Hupfield Ceramics – Charlotte makes an exquisite selection of hand-made ceramic items including vases, dishes, sculptural vessels, plaques, coasters and clocks.

Handmade in Heaven – Andrea prides herself in custom making professionally handcrafted items for baby, babe and mum. Her items include cases for mobile phones, laptops and stationery as well as acessories, soft furnishings and Mum’s essentials for baby travel.

Lazy Daisy Glass – Kathryn designs and creates the most fantastic jewellery and glass art. The beauty of her handcrafted items is that no two pieces are ever the same – which makes them even more delightful and unique!

So, if you’re in the Whitley Bay vicinity, don’t miss out, go to the open day, take a full purse, meet the Rosewill Cottage crew and enjoy the cake!

I’m really excited about this, I can’t imagine what Dawn must be feeling! Wish I was closer to make it to the opening day, but will just have to view the photos instead. Wishing Dawn all the very best and lots of success with her new venture!

    Hi there
Sent the message re following me before I saw that we were partnered in the Autumn Leaf swap. Have been having a peek at your blog and shop trying to see what you like to tailor your parcel. My email address is letterbox@winnibriggshouse.co.uk, so send me a note to tell me if there’s anything you particularly like and also really hate! Its good that you are a sewer too as it does make deciding on your swap gifts a little easier, but any other info you can give me will be fab. I would also be interested in your shoe size!! not that this has anything to do with anything….just in case!
I absolutely love anything slightly vintage inspired and Autumn colours are my favourite after deep red and pale blue. I am so looking forward to this swap and don’t mind surprises, anything you care to do will be great.

Darn! I am so far away. I am checking out the sites, though. I love those little striped guys with wiggly ears or antennae.

    Congratulations to you all!!!
