Knock Knock, who’s there?

What’s your craft background & how did you choose your shop name?

I started crafting at my grandparents house when I was little making all kinds of weird and wonderful things – I like to think I’ve evolved since then! When I was a teen my Nan bought me a candle making kit and I haven’t looked back since. The shop name is simple because I’d like to grow my business and end up with a one stop pamper shop.

Are you a full time craftsperson or do you have other jobs too? I’m a full time mum of 5 and pretty much full time craftsperson – the children help!

What was your favourite TV programme as a kid? Rainbow! I loved zippy, I think he was my role model.

How do you promote yourself? I’m a regular on the Folksy forums, I also promote on Facebook and you can follow me on Twitter

If you were stuck on a desert island and were allowed to take one new crafting project with you based on something you admire in another shop, what would it be?

I’d love to learn to sew, I seem to have absolutely no talent in that area! So I’ll have to rely on shops like the incredibly talented Seamingly Possible for things like these gorgeous baby shoes.

Rich Italian

What can’t you do without? Coffee! The day doesn’t begin till I’ve have had at least one cup!

What’s your favourite or most inspirational place?

Warwick, The place I fell in love with my partner. It’s an absolutely stunning place and I’ll never forget the view from the top of the castle. Or the feeling of being with the love of my life at what felt like the top of the world.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Well it’s not exactly advice, But I do try and live by a James Dean quote – “Live as if you’ll die today and dream as if you’ll live forever.” It works for me!

Marshmallow Fluff

Gingerbread

Jasmine

Fresh & Natural

Maryann, thank you for taking part in The Sock Garden Q&A. It’s been fun learning a bit more about you and your craft.

I can recommend the gorgeous Gingerbread – smells just like there’s a ginger cake in the oven & lasts for ages. I can’t wait to receive my new Fresh & Natural votives next week. Go on, nip over to the Onestoppampershop and indulge yourself – you know you want to!
